Writing Process
Lisa consults on the process of writing book-length fiction and nonfiction. This includes research, planning, structure, setting writing goals, revision, and sharing the work with trusted readers. Please note that she doesn’t currently evaluate manuscripts, book proposals, or queries. She also doesn’t edit or proofread manuscripts. If you have a finished manuscript and are in search of an editor, she recommends NY Book Editors. (She doesn’t receive a commission—just good karma.)
Publishing Process
The publishing process can be dizzying in its requirements and choices. Lisa can talk you through what it takes to find a literary agent, and what an agent can do for you. She’ll lead you through the requirements for fiction and nonfiction book submissions. She can also help you understand the differences between traditional, hybrid, and self-publishing so you can identify which publishing option might be best for your project.
Marketing Process
If you’ve already signed a publishing contract, or have a new self-published book launching soon, Lisa has a professional background in marketing and brings that expertise to consultations about book promotion. After learning about your book, she’ll help you to build a custom marketing plan with creative strategies to reach your ideal readers.
